Day 1 - Flying to Japan

Day 1
It's 5.30pm and we have an hour and a half to go on this flight. We left home at 3am, flew 3hrs to Cairns, had a 3hr layover and then 7hrs to Tokyo. I've watched two movies with about 5,000 interruptions from the kids and Steve, but I guess all that makes the time go by doesn't it  Not long into the flight I noticed the lady sitting next to Charlie was wearing a face mask. I didn't think too much of it as I've seen people do that before. But then when I was waiting for the restroom with the kids I noticed the lady next to us was holding her scarf across her face, which she then removed when we walked away. Now I've always found my own children quite revolting at times but I had thought they appeared cute to others, clearly I have been in total misconception 
It's now 11pm and we r all exhausted. After landing we took the keisei skyliner and then a regular train to shinjuku. We had no idea what we were doing but somehow we made it. Shinjuku is a crazy busy place, its all lit up and full of life. We had dinner at a little restaurant across from the hotel, we had no idea what we were ordering but it tasted good.
Gotta go sleep now ☺
